I would like to use an offsite data backup service such as SOS online backup.
However, I don't know how to create a daily backup of my notes, contacts, calendar, emails in outlook. I don't want to autoarchive because it deletes the information. Any thoughts? |

Archive doesnt delete info it merely moves it to the Archive data file
Archive is not a backup With whatever offsite backup app you are using you configure it to backup your outlook data files - the *.pst files - NB OL needs to be closed when doing so "Jonk" wrote in message ... Outlook doesn't finalize some of the data structures in the PST until it's closed. The PST is a database so any copy you might make while it is open stands a fair change of being internally inconsistent, leading to loss of data when you try to restore. Reading the web page about the product leads me to believe it may be an automated export process. I'd have to know much more about it before concluding that it's better than simply closing Outlook and copying the PST. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
