Allow me to clarify, you have a reoccuring meeting and on this reoccuring meeting you want to change the color on it for a specific time and date but leave all other dates the original color. If this is correct, then.
The color for an individual occurrence on series (reocccuring) meeting can not be change. Only the entire series. If you want this particular time and date to be different color then try creating a separate re-occurring meeting to meet this need.
