There is no such product as XP2007. There is, however, the Office XP
(2002) and 2007 products. There is also the Windows XP product in the
Home and Pro versions. We are not there looking over your shoulder to
see what your finger is pointing at on the screen.

So what is the reason that the recipient cannot install Adobe Reader
to view .pdf files? Or Foxit's Reader?

Assuming you mean Outlook 2007, make sure you are NOT using Microsoft Rich
Text Format for your default email format. RTF is ONLY understood by
Outlook and any other email client will either get an attachment with the
name WINMAIL.DAT (which they cannot open) or they'll get no attachment at
all. Avoid this by using either HTML or Plain Text for your email format
whenever sending to someone that is not also using Outlook.

I'm using Office 2007 on my computer and I'm taking a computer class for
Office 2007. In Word 2007 you can convert documents to a PDF version or a
2003 (XP) version. Open your document (PDF) and click save as 97-03 doc. I
haven't actually tried a PDF in Office 2007, but maybe this can give you some
direction

You can save an OFFICE 2007 file in the OFFICE 97-2003 format.
You can also save as a PDF but you need to download the addin from the Microsoft site.
So long as the recipient has Adobe Reader, which is a free download, they will be able to read a .pdf file.

umm... pdf is a standard format and everyone should have adobe reader
installed so no converting necessary - just send it as a pdf.
