Default Using outlook to access hotmail

I have free hotmail account since 2001. I had some problem with Outlook and
removed hotmail account from my profile but when I tried to add it back I
got message below. Does this mean that I can't access hotmail using outlook
anymore. I've read somewhere that this restriction do not apply to long time
users

Thanks

Task 'Hotmail: Folder:Inbox Synchronizing headers.' reported error
(0×800CCCF6) : 'The server responded 'Access to Hotmail via Outlook and
Outlook Express now requires a subscription. Please sign up at
http://join.msn.com/general/Email'. '

Yep, any my legacy account did the same (I had it before the Nov 2004
change when Microsoft stopped providing WebDAV access for new freebie
accounts created after that date). Some folks suggested downloading
the Outlook Connector. It worked for one mail poll and then I got the
above "pay us" error. Folks that suggest using Outlook Connector have
varied to those that say it has always worked for them to those that
first say it works, then updates to say it stopped working, and then
updates again to say it started working again. Who knows how
Microsoft is farking over Hotmail to make their Connector go flaky.
Up to you if you want to spend time on trying to get it working.

what version of outlook? if you use the newest connector (only works with
2003 and 2007) and convery your hotmail to live mail, you can download the
email free. if you don't want to use the connector, don't use 2003/2007 or
don't want to migrate to the live mail servers, you'll need to pay.

Are you using HTTP or the Outlook Connector? After June 30 you will need to
use either the Outlook Connector or the new live mail client.
