Copy your .pst file and open it in Outlook. Do NOT import.

Where is the mail kept? thanks Daniel Are you using Outlook or Outlook Express, 1) for OE, open OE, check "Tools"-"Options"-"Maintenance" in the middle, there is "Store Folder". Just copy the dbx files, restart OE. 2) for Outlook, open Outlook, check "File"-"Data File Management", also copy pst files out. In new Outlook, after first open, close it, delete the original pst file created, re-open Outlook, it said pst missing, then you give a new path, restart Outlook, it should be ok. Regard, Dennis |

If the file contains a lot of data, then copy the items from the NEW file to the old, and in Control panel-Mail-Data Files set the OLD file as the default delivery location. You can then close the NEW file. HTH |

Yes, unless you copy that data to the old .pst file.
