This error number equates to can't find server. Check your e-mail account
settings and verify that the POP3/SMTP server names are what they should be. If they are, next thing to check is to see if you have a 3rd party personal firewall installed that is preventing the mail program from making a network connection. The last would be to check to see if your computer is getting an IP address and that name resolution is working right by seeing if you can ping the POP3/SMTP server by name.
