Slow Public Folder Access if Internet is down.
SBS 2003
If my internet is down (Comcast issues) and I try and access my Public folder via a PC on the Lan running Outlook 03 or Outlook 07 is very slow and may even time out. (may say not responding). Message says loading data from server (or something similar). As soon and my internet is live again the normal opening speed returns. Why would internet access affect internal LAN access to the Exchange server

If you have incorrect DND/WINS configuration, your workstations may be
waiting for DNS lookup from an external server which is not available, check ipconfig on the workstations. "Marc Seidler" wrote in message ...
