Default set default reading pane view

I think you misunderstood his request. He is talking about when you open a
word attachment in Outlook it opens in the "Reading Layout" view in Word.
(side by side book style pages) How can this feature be disabled. Previous
versions of Office did not do this.

I have outlook 2003, exchange2003 sp1 with about 50 folders, I would
like to turn off reading pane for all. I know there is a way, just cant
find it in the labyrinth of the outlook controls. TIA

Craig
