If you're using Windows XP, Yahoo has an excellent add-on sync program which syncs contact and calendar...I don't recall if it also does mail but I'm sure you can find it if you look around your Yahoo mail account. Just remember, if you're using Vista, you're out of luck as they don't have a Vista version yet.
