upgrade and want to stick with office outlook XP. i think i made an error by not loading outlook XP first on this computer, and wonder how to revert without losing content/data that's now part of outlook 2007. do i delete 2007 then load XP? thanks all. |

And the uninstall SHOULD keep your data intact, but as in everything, backup just in case |

Outlook 2002 is not compatible with Vista. It can be used, but it will constantly prompt you for your mail account credentials. Moreover, if you created data in Outlook 2007, chances are, it won't be compatible with Outlook 2002. You'll first have to move any data in the PST to an Outlook 2002-compatible PST. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

Outlook 2002 is not compatible with Vista. Hmm. the phrase "new PC" doesn't necessarily mean "Vista" - most of the large OEMs are STILL offering new PCs with XP...... |

Gordon
loki is using Vista and posting with Thunderbird, And you are using Win XP version 6.00.2900.3138. The properties of the posts show the latter -- Peter Please Reply to Newsgroup for the benefit of others Requests for assistance by email can not and will not be acknowledged. ... Gordon loki is using Vista and posting with Thunderbird, well that's fine but a) the OP never said so, and b) we shouldn't have to look at message properties to find out something that is PRETTY relevant to the OP's question - should we? |
