Default Globally set default folder view outlook 2003 to entry list dates ascending?

Can I do this instead of doing each folder individually?

TIA!

Brian,

I am wary of doing this as it will undo what I have already done.

Can't tell because Select the view *by name*, is not available to me, so I
just created one.

How will that effect the "Entry List View" in "Folder List View" which is
what I want displayed?

Wary in what way? If you've customized your views already and are unwilling
to reset them, you have no way of changing them all in one go.

The Inbox (and all mail folders except for Sent Items) by default, uses the
Messages view. Change the Messages view and all folders using that view
will change. ViewArrange ByCurrent ViewDefine Views. Select Messages
and click Modify, then Sort. Change "Sort items by" to use the field you
want and select "Ascending" or "Descending" to suit. Click OK, then OK,
then APply View, then Close. All folders using the Message view will now
obey your view settings.

How will that effect the "Entry List View" in "Folder List View"
which is what I want displayed?

I'm not sure what "Entry List View" means. You can't add views to the
Folder List view of the Navigation Pane. Perhaps I don't know what you mean
here, either.

by entry list view I mean the view when looking at "Folder List" or
"journal" in the right hand pane. The preview pane goes out when you look
at "Folder list" and is maximized on a view that lists items moved from an
inbox or other folder. These can be entries such as emails or phone calls
etc.
I like them sorted under a view available called "entry list" and ascending
by date.

Does that view use "Message View"?

Mail folders use the Message view. Add the Advanced toolbar to your window
and you'll see the view you're using.
