Outlook 97 help needed

Well, Gmail requires SSL and setting the ports appropriately. Outlook 97 does both of these things. As far as protocol, I'm not sure what you mean. My gmail account is a pop3 account, supported by Outlook. Your first comment may explain it all to me. If full support is not given, even though I can set up my gmail account correctly, then perhaps I need to move on. Thanks.
