Default Missing Sent E-mails

I recently upgraded from Outlook Express to Outlook 2003.

For some reason, in both OE and Outlook, sent emails first go to a
local Sent folder, from where I manually drag them to my hosted e-mail
Sent box. In OE, everything synced, meaning if I sent and dragged
emails on my laptop, they'd show up in my hosted sent box on all
computers, work and home. But now, I have Outlook 2003 only in the
office, my laptop still uses OE and emails that I dragged in OE on my
laptop are not showing up in my hosted sent box in my office, in
Outlook. Even if O and OE are not compatible, once I drag the emails
to my hosted sent box in OE, why wouldn't they show up in O? The
hosted e-mail sent box doesn't change. Can O not "see" OE emails?

One more thing. Every time I open the hosted sent folder in O 2003,
it says updating cached headers. Should it be doing that?

Thank you.

A copy of all the emails you send will keep in the Sent folder if you have
selected that in Tools | Options | Send.
Are you sure they first go to the Sent folder? Send a message to yourself
and see. Perhaps the message was sent and you are only observing a copy
kept in the Sent folder.

Whoops. Sorry for my previous post. That info is for Outlook Express only.
In Outlook check Tools | Options | Mail Delivery and make sure you have
checked "send messages immediately when connected"

There is no Upgrading OE to Outlook. These are 2 different email programs. OE
is part of Windows and cannot be uninstalled and will still collect your mail
if you open it. Make sure you select Outlook in Internet Options as your
default email program on the Programs tab.
