How do you turn off the virus scanning feature of the OLC?
It scans the msg, then the reply or forward draft and then again when it actually sends. It scans the same msg up to 4 times....Waisting time! That's what I have NOD32 for! Outlook does not scan for viruses... if you means the connector, virus would
be a function in your MSN or Live acct and you'll have to change the settings online. FWIW, you don't need NOD scanning email either. It causes more problems than it solves. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "Happy Tilton" wrote in message ... I understand that Outlook itself doesn't scan....It's the OLC that does the
scanning. Thanks for the tip on how to turn it off....It was painfully slow!! ---- XPPro SP2, ZoneAlarm, NOD 32, CounterSpy MS Office ''03 Small Business Outlook Connector Version 12.0.4518.1068 -- happytilton® |

I've searched both MSN & Live Hotmail, but was unable to find any such
setting in neither, nor any mention of the OLConnector. Can you guide me in the right direction. -- XPPro SP2, ZoneAlarm, NOD 32, CounterSpy MS Office ''''03 Small Business Outlook Connector Version 12.0.4518.1068 ---- happytilton® "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: if you means the connector, virus would be a function in your MSN or Live acct and you'll have to change the settings online. |

Do you have a full MSN subscription or just the email acct? I have MSN Premium, which is a pay account, since ~2002. "Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: The Outlook Connector does not scan mail. there is a picture library at www.xsolive.com you can use if you don't have
a website to post them on. I no longer have msn premium but if I did I would look in the AV/security options. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "Happy Tilton" wrote in message news ![]() "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: Do you have a full MSN subscription or just the email acct?
