Hello to all,

I have an issue with inviting someone to meetings.

I am using MS Outlook 2002. I simply create an new appointment, and then click on "Invite Attendees...". When I send the invitation to this person, it comes into them without the Accept, Decline, Change buttons at the top, and the message body consists of code-like information. (actual message listed below) What's weird though, is that this person has received the proper messages (the ones with the buttons) in the past. And when this person invites me to their meetings, the messages always come in correctly - never once has there been this "error".

So, I don't know if it's with the way I'm sending the invitations, or what. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

What messaging client are THEY using? I suspect either their server or their client is converting your meeting request from RTF to Plain Text.

Thanks for your reply. As it turns out, the problem was on my end. In my Tools/Options/Preferences/Calendar Options... I had the Advanced Options setting "When sending meeting requests over the Internet, use iCalendar format" checked. When I unchecked it, the problem on their end was resolved.
