Since moving from Outlook Express to Outlook, when sending animated gifs
(inserted) they appear but no longer animate. Email setting is for Rich Text, is this correct. Thanks. Bill. -- I'm OK |

You must use HTML as the message format.
Note that the gif-file doesn't animate while composing with Word as the email editor or at all when using Outlook 2007. This doesn't affect the animated gif itself for the receiver. -- Robert Sparnaaij [MVP-Outlook] Coauthor, Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.howto-outlook.com/ Outlook FAQ, HowTo, Downloads, Add-Ins and more http://www.msoutlook.info/ Real World Questions, Real World Answers ----- "Bill H H" wrote in message ... Many thanks to both you guys
I've just defaulted my email client back to Outlook Express (I like to use and view animated emoticoms), anyway there is too much happening in Outlook for just email. -- I'm OK |

True, if you only want to do email and some contact management Outlook might
be overkill for you ;-) -- Robert Sparnaaij [MVP-Outlook] Coauthor, Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.howto-outlook.com/ Outlook FAQ, HowTo, Downloads, Add-Ins and more http://www.msoutlook.info/ Real World Questions, Real World Answers ----- "Bill H H" wrote in message ... I'm using Outlook 2003 with Word as my editor using the HTML format. I have
tried inserting or pasting an animated gif. Both show as an attached file? What am I missing? Thanks! "Roady [MVP]" wrote: You must use HTML as the message format.
