Default how can I use outlook in a Wifi Location?

I am a college student and this is my first laptop. I am excited to use my
Outlook for my e-mail and its set up but I don't have internet access at
home. I usually go to a WiFi location to upload my homework and check my
e-mail. I can receive my messages in Outlook but not send unless I am at my
parents house (using their wireless connection). I've tried setting
everything up and asking questions in the help box but I'm not getting
anywhere. Help!

YOur post is unclear. What are you trying to do and from where? What
version of Outlook are you using? What is your normal method for connecting
to the Internet? Is this different from what you are trying to do now?

After furious head scratching, Delilah asked:

Well, you could tell *us* what error you get when you attempt to send e-mail
when using a WiFi hotspot. You'll probably have to authenticate to
whomever's SMTP server you are trying to use.

Off-domain port 25 (SMTP) traffic blocked to thwart spam from spamming or
infected customers:

Some of the following articles might make it clear why SMTP is inaccessible

The message displayed is, " Task 'Charter-Sending' reported error
(0x80042109): 'Outlook is unable to connect to you outgoing (SMPT) e-mail
server. If you continue to recieve this message, contact your server
administrator or internet service provider (ISP)'."

All I am trying to do is check my Outlook mail while sitting in a coffee
shop and using a WiFi connection. I guess I can go through the internet and
check my charter account that way. But it is so much nicer to be able to use
a shortcut.

Vanguard, your articles were helpful though. I did not know about Port 25
Blocking. I think that that might be the problem.

Thanks!
