Default MessageClass and Custom Outlook Form issue

I apologize for my poor English.
While I change the mail item's message class in Outlook 2003 from IPM.Note
to IPM.Note.mycustom using the MAPI Editor tool and I don't make a
corresponding form to it,the mail's prefix ICON that represent UNREAD
status is always displayed, even if the mail is a READ message or a
FORWARD/Reply message.

Why? How to correct it by no means of Custom Form ?

Thanks.
