Default Office Live Workspace and online .pst file

The Office Live Workspace beta has recently been made available in the UK.
I was really looking forward to it, as I though that it would allow me to
keep my Outlook .pst file online, and access it from different computers.

It's not possible, is it? I am so disappointed.

Microsoft has never supported .pst files stored on a network (WAN or LAN) and certainly not on a remote website.

I don't remember what gave me the impression, but I thought that Office Live
Workspace would give the ability to do that, in a similar way to connecting
to an Exchange server.

For Office Live Workspace, I can't say, but for Windows Live Hotmail and the
Outlook Live subscription, yes.

Ah, that must be it. I got Office Live Workspace confused with Office
Outlook Live.

All this Live branding is a complete joke. It must be causing so much
customer confusion.

And not making Outlook, a web centred program, more web-borne in this way,
for non-enterprise customers, is a massive mistake on Microsoft's part.
They are just throwing market share away to Google.
