Outlook constantly sending messages
My Outlook 2007 has a message permanently at the bottom of the screen saying
sending message 1 of 3 or 2 of 4 - why should that be?

How many mail accounts do you have setup? It usually means "checking accounts" 1 of 3, 2 of 3, etc. Try turning down your send/receive interval to 10 or 15 minutes and see if the activity slows down as well.
