It's likely an issue with antivirus/firewall/security suite. Disable the
integration with Outlook, make an exception for Outlook on the firewall, and try again. Please post back to let us know how you make out. -- Kathleen Orland - MVP Outlook Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ http://www.howto-outlook.com/ "Simbo" wrote: I get this error: 0x80042112 when I try to download mail. Hi,
We have te same problems with a lot of customers using Windows XP - Office 2007 and Kerio Mail Server. After - updating XP to the latest service pack - updating Office to 2007 SP1 - Shutting down the firewall - Stop the Mcafee ASAP Antivirus firewall - recreate the account Nothing helped. I pinpointed the problem to Office 2007 because I could fluently download the emails with a pop3 account from the mail server. All our customers with this kind of configuration report the same problems. So there must be a bug somewhere in outlook 2007. Our solution is the following : Use the Kerio Outlook Connector and wait for Outlook 2007 SP2 to be released :-) or leave the pop3 configuration for what it is. Remove the email acct. Close outlook, make sure its closed in Task manager
and then reopen it. Recreate the acct. You can also do this in Control panel, mail when outlook is closed. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "Simbo" wrote in message ...
