When forwarding or replying to a message using HTML in Outlook 2003,
the first key to be depressed when attempting to edit the text of the original message, automatically inserts my name in color. I am forced to select the text, delete it and continue with the editing. Here's the strange part, if I open the message, select reply, click the html box, switch to plain text, then switch back to html it prevents the text from insertion. Thanks for the help, Graham. |

Try going to Tools-Options-Email Options and clear the "Mark my comments
with" and/or prefix each line with. If it is not there, my guess is that it is Track Changes using Word as your email editor. Let us know if any luck. Nick, you were right on. The problem arose in the Word, Track Changes
which was set to "by author". Amended to "Auto" and problem solved. Thanks very much. Now if you could only do something with my other problem life would be really great. http://groups.google.com/group/micro...74379af13df132 Graham. |

I don't like that option either. Used to drive me crazy!
![]() Open the TOOLS menu Select OPTIONS Click the E-MAIL OPTIONS button Near the bottom of the E-mail Options window is a little check box next to "Mark my comments with" and then it probably shows your name. Just uncheck the box. Nikki wrote in message oups.com...
