I've been using outlook express as my newsreader for some time.
Just today, when trying to post, I started getting an error message like this: Outlook Express could not post your message Subject ' power supply explanation'. Account 'nntp.aioe.org' Protocol: NNTP. Server Response: '441 Nonexistent group'. Port 119 Secure (SSL): No Server Error: 441, Error Number: 0x800CCCA9 I get a similar error message when trying to post through teranews. I get online only through public wifi hotspots. I don't have a service provider at home or at work, and I use aioe and teranews. I doubt if aioe and teranews have both disappeared simultaneously, although anything's possible. Assuming the problem is a glitch in outlook express, can someone suggest how I should fix it? |

Just to make it clear, I tried posting to sci.electronics.basics and other active groups. They definitely _exist_. Why does OE say "nonexistent group"? |

So I suspect the problem IS at thrie end of things. They have a Help group aioe.news.helpdesk You can access that usually even when the main server is down or via Google Groups. You will see a bunch of others complaining if the server is down or groups are missing I gave up on them and use Motzarella.org as News supplier. It's free and runs well and fast Frenchy |

This newsgroup is for support of Outlook 97/98/2000/2002/2003/2007 from the Office suite of products. Outlook Express is actually a separate program despite the similar name. For help with your OE questions, try an OE newsgroup such as microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlooke xpress (for OE 6), or an OE help website such as http://insideOE.tomsterdam.com. If you're accessing the Microsoft newsgroups through the MS Product Support Services "Community Newsgroups" web interface, click http://www.microsoft.com/communities...ress.ge neral Good luck! |
