There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was
rejected. Account: 'shawmail.ed.shawcable.net', Server:
'shawmail.ed.shawcable.net', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR [AUTH]
Authentication failed', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90,
Error Number: 0x800CCC92

That is what i recieve after setting up a new identity. A box pops up with
my username and a password, but i don't know what the password is or why my
account will not authorize. why wont it work??

This is on Outlook Express-making a new identity

or why my

ummm... I don't know my PIN, why can't I get cash from my bank ATM? The same
goes for you, no username/password, no email. Simple as that.

You're in the wrong group.

Sophia: You need to post in an Outlook Express newsgroup...this is for
Outlook, a different program.

Regardless of which is the correct newsgroup, the appropriate next
step is contact your ISP (I'm assuming Shaw Cable). No one in any
newsgroup is going to be able to help you with your authentication;
You need to contact your ISP to straighten out your username /
password confusion.

No one here knows your login credentials. They are whatever are the
login credentials that you defined for your Shaw Cable account. So use
those. Or call Shaw Cable to ask them to reset your password and then
change it back to whatever you thought it was.
