Outlook 2007 keeps asking to be default email client.
I confirmed it was default VIA within outlook and within IE settings. Both are defaulted to OUTLOOK but Outlook 2007 does not think it is. This is weird! Any fix? |

Did this just start recently? Do you have other mail applications you use?

Yes just started recently and yes I thought the same logic process as you and
made sure I did not have any other third party email software. System is a clean OS with MS Office 2007 installed. I actually have this happening on 2 office computers. I fixed the first one with same symptoms by going through the start menu program tree then selecting Diagnosis tool and on one paticular pc the diag tool did find one problem and fixed it and it now no longer prompts to say it is no longer the default. I tried the same on second pc but it keeps on happening. Where does the diagnose tool store its results output? "Diane Poremsky {MVP}" wrote: Did this just start recently? It stores it in a temp folder.
I have the same problem with Expression web, beginning a few days ago. I'm figuring it was an update but can't figure out which one. Oddly Office SP1 wanted to be installed recently - and its been on this system for weeks. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com ** Please include your Outlook version, Account type, and Windows Version when requesting assistance ** "TechGuyatwork" wrote in message ...
