Default Outlook 2007 + iPhone + iTunes = bad data file?

Hello,

I'm running Vista 64-bit, Outlook 2007, and have an iPhone 3G.
Outlook worked perfectly until my first sync with the iPhone (via
iTunes 7.7). Ever since then I get the following error message ...

"A data file did not close properly the last time it was used and is
being checked for problems. Performance might be affected while the
check is in progress."

I've since tried disabling the iTunes add-in in Outlook (no success).
Uninstalling iTunes altogether (no success). And running scanpst.exe
on my .pst file (no success).

Any tips on how I should move forward to resolve the problem with be
greatly, greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

-Ann

P.S. - After doing a little research it hardly seems like I'm the only
person with this problem; however, no one seems to have provided a
solution? Again, thank you!

The error normally occurs when outlook doesn't close properly because
another process has it open. Leaving a PDA connected when you close outlook
will do it. Outlook calls up scanpst to check the pst when it loads.

In most cases, its more annoying than damaging. look in tasks manager to see
if its running after you close it. If so, start outlook in safe mode and
see if it exits correctly. if so, another add-in is doing it.
