Default PROBLEM WITH BCM AND SQL SERVER

A problem with BCM started to occur on my computer recently. When starting
outlook I received an error message “BCM for Outlook could not connect to the
shared database. Do you want to work offline?”
I tried to uninstall and repair BCM with Disk 2 but now it fails to install
and gives the following error message “Setup failed to install Business
Contact Manager for Outlook 2007. See C:\Documents and
settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp\MBSetuptmpA3.log for more detail.”
I have worked through the help at
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ou...128601033.aspx and appear to
have a problem with the SQL server

When Trying To Start Sql server (Mssmlbiz) Through Computer Management I get
the following error:
“Windows could not start the SQL Server (MSSMLBIZ) on Local Computer. For
more information, review the System Event Log. If this is non-Microsoft
service, contact the service vendor and refer to specific error code 3417.”
These are the last two entries of the event log:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: MSSQL$MSSMLBIZ
Event Category: (2)
Event ID: 9003
Date: 19/08/2008
Time: 23:17:24
User: N/A
Computer: SAS_MASTER
Description:
The log scan number (230:152:1) passed to log scan in database 'master' is
not valid. This error may indicate data corruption or that the log file
(.ldf) does not match the data file (.mdf). If this error occurred during
replication, re-create the publication. Otherwise, restore from backup if the
problem results in a failure during startup.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at

Default PROBLEM WITH BCM AND SQL SERVER

Try reposting this to microsoft.public.outlook.bcm as the people who actually use BCM hang out "down the hall."

Consider asking in the BCM-specific newsgroup microsoft.public.outlook.bcm
