Hello, I am trying to connect to an exchange web server using the
normal version of Outlook 2003. I cannot seem to do that even though I set it up to connect to the web server in the setting. What do I need to do on either the exchange server or in my Outlook in order to make this connection? Thank you very much. |

What method are you using to connect to work remotely, VPN? What method is
supported by your company? Your IT department would have all the pertinent information and be able to assist you with this. -- Kathleen Orland - MVP Outlook Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ http://www.howto-outlook.com/ "Brad Isaac" wrote: Hello, I am trying to connect to an exchange web server using the normal version of Outlook 2003. Kathleen,
I am trying to set this up for one client. I am the network admin. We have OWA set up and Activesync FWIW. There's not really a VPN connection I can give to this client. Is it possible to connect Outlook 2003 to the web portion of Exchange? Thanks On Aug 26, 11:03 am, K. Orland wrote: What method are you using to connect to work remotely, VPN? ... Hello, I am trying to connect to an exchange web server using the normal version of Outlook 2003. I'm not sure what you mean by this. Exchange isn't a web server and Outlook can't connect to web mail services. I cannot seem to do that even though I set it up to connect to the web server in the setting. What do I need to do on either the exchange server or in my Outlook in order to make this connection? Ask the Exchange admins what allowances they've made for allowing outside PCs to connect to the Exchange server. The two methods that are in general use are VPN and RPC over HTTP. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
