Good People,
I plan to: 1. Perform a 100% reinstall of Vista Ultimate and MS Office Pro 2007 on one computer, 2. Transfer all Outlook 2007 files, settings, accounts, etc to another computer which has MS Office Pro 2007 and XP Pro. With File | Import and Export and can create a backup.pst file for Personal Folder and all of its subfolders. In %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook, I find, in addition to Backup.pst, the following: 1. extend.dat 2. Outlook.sharing.xml.obi 3. Outlook.xml.kfl In %appdata%\microsoft\Outlook, I find the following: 1. outcmd.dat 2. Outlook.NK2 3. Outlook.srs 4. Outlook.xml 5. OutlPrnt Should I backup and then restore/install these additional files? Question is prompted by the conflicting info I have found both in the MSKB and elsewhere, probably due to failure to update the respective articles to reflect the current Outlook 2007. Thanks, Karl |
