I have not been able to send email w/ outlook anymore. I can still
receive mail fine, when I send mail, it says it sent fine and it goes into my sent folder, but my mail does not really send and I do not know what to do! I called Cincinnati Bell (my ISP) and they said my mail works fine because supposedly they said the mail I sent to their TEST address was sent in their filtered folder, but it WAS sent. Well, they are the only people receiving my mail then. I am forced to access my mail using the web which is way to time consuming. When I 1st had this email account setup, I was able to send mail using outlook, but for some reason I can no longer send. I tried uninstalling my anti-virus and still nothing. I tried different port #'s, but nothing. Can anyone please help me? |

How would I check this? I don't think there is a problem w/ my ISP's
server because I set up a separate outlook account on my downstairs computer and sent mail just fine! Do you think there is something wrong w/ my networking? I have the Linksys router and modem hooked up on my computer and the network card in the computer downstairs. I do believe this started after I made my computer the hub and the downstairs computer wireless. |

I do believe this started after I made my computer the hub and the downstairs computer wireless. I don't know what you meanm by "made your computer the hub" - but if you're connecting to the Internet through your Linksys and can browse/surf, it's unlikely. So, it's more likely a configuration probem in Outlook. Did you try the 'test settings' option? Did you try creating a new mail account? NB: It's best that you don't snip out all the quoted text when you reply....it makes it very hard for others to follow the thread. You might want to consider using a newsreader like Outlook Express or Forte Agent rather than Google Groups (or the Microsoft web interface) for this and many other reasons. It's a lot easier to do nearly everything that way, including searching, which is always a good idea to do before you post, as well as mark messages to be watched, and filter based on replies to your posts. The Microsoft public news server is news.microsoft.com and you can subscribe to as many groups as you like. |
