Ok, here's something that has always confused/frustrated me: I've just set
up Outlook 2003 on a new PC with my hosted Exchange account, then added in my four IMAP accounts. No other settings were changed, so everything is default. I've added each of the IMAP inboxes as "Favorite Folders". Here's the problem: it doesn't check for email until I click into the Inbox via the Favorites Folder. I get no bolded numbers showing me new email messages. Once I've clicked on each inbox once, it seems to show that inbox "live" for the rest of that Outlook session. Before I started randomly mucking with send/receive settings and whatnot, I thought I'd ask here if there was a "best practices" way of configuring Outlook 2003 for my particular scenario. Thanks for any insight. :-) - Jason Dunn |
