Default Mail Message Signature

When I try to edit a signature in Outlook 2000 by clicking Advanced Edit in
the Edit Signature box (Tools\Options\Mail Format\Signatures\Edit), it
should open Word to perform the action. Instead Notepad opens. The message
format is HTML (all works correctly when I choose Rich Text or Plain Text as
the message format). What can I do to correct this problem?
Thanks for your help!

In Internet Explorer, select Tools | Internet Options | Programs.

What application is set for the HTML Editor?
