... can some tell me hoe to setup my hotmail account to my office 2007 Download and install the Outlook Connector - this will set you up automatically. http://www.microsoft.com/Downloads/d...displaylang=en BTW, this sets up Hotmail in Outlook, not Office..... -- Asking a question? Please tell us the version of the application you are asking about, your OS, Service Pack level and the FULL contents of any error message(s) |

Alas, I don't have access to your bank and credit card account records. So is this for a free or paid Hotmail account? Paid accounts (Windows Live Hotmail Plus) get POP and SMTP mail host access (but can also use the HTTP/Deltasync protocol). Freebie accounts do not have access to the POP and SMTP mail hosts so they are stuck using Microsoft's proprietary HTTP/Deltasync protocol. Outlook and Outlook Express have no innate support for Deltasync (they support the older and discontinued WebDAV protocol). Outlook Express is a dead product since 2002 and won't be updated to support Deltasync (and Windows Live Mail is the supported replacement for OE). For Outlook and a freebie Hotmail account, go to Microsoft's download site and get their Outlook Connector add-on. It adds Deltasync support to Outlook. If you're just looking for general setup instructions, Hotmail's web help pages are used for that. The assumption is that you cannot get Outlook to connect to Hotmail's HTTP servers. Of course, no one really knows why you are asking your vague question and they have to guess. If connecting to Hotmail is not the issue, you'll actually have to provide some details. |
