Any way, I dont know any particular method of doing what you want.
You are presumably aware of the pst size issues in 2k, which I guess is why
you seek to reduce the size, are you not using the Archive options?

Certain things may be a bit nicer but other things just are not.
Personal preference is what most of it boils down to.

.Yup re the size. 'course I knew about it. It's never been an issue
and I found it through researching O2K throughout the years and not
through it ever coming up as a problem. The day I have to worry about
the size limitation in O2K is the day I'm getting _way_ too many
emails at home and/or too many attachments!! It just doesn't happen.

Well, I'll keep looking. There are so many add-ons and such that
perhaps I'll find something eventully.

Found an addin that's superb. It gives sortable folder size totals
while alllowing you then to drill down to find the folders where the
biggest size culprits are. You go back to the O2K folders in question
and start removing attachments and/or deleting messages.

Unfortunately, it's shareware so will see if I use this enough to
merit the purchase. Don't know.

I _did_ find a freeware attachment remover of the kind that leaves
reference to file name and though I haven't got the hang of this addin
entirely, seems to do a very good job so far.

Normally, this type of thing is not too much of a problem but I
subscribed to some Paint Shop Pro yahoo groups again and the daily
sends in them can get pretty big so need some easier way to keep track
of and maintain folder sizes since I never need to keep but a fraction
of the groups' sends.

Thanks. D
