Office Small Business 2007 came installed on my new computer.
When I try to use Outlook, it starts to configure, and then I get a message that "Connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or..." It then takes me to a menu "Microsoft Exchange" with a General tab asking for Name of Server and then Mailbox Name. I have no idea what to enter. So I'm stuck. Furthermore, it's important that I synch with my BlackBerry but it has to be done through Outlook, and that's impossible this way. Diane,
First, if I could "close" Outlook, I'd be ahead. I can't open it at all. I tried your sequence. There is no "profile" on properties to delete. -- A moderately expert user of Office 1997, 2003, and 2007 "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: Close outlook. right click on the outlook icon on the start menu and choose properties. if there is no properties on that dialog then something more is wrong. You
can get to the profile through control panel, mail applet and you can force outlook closed by going to task manager, processes tab and ending the outlook.exe task. Delete the existing profile and make a new one, using the correct acct type. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com.
