Earlier today my PC installed various MS updates, including 2 related to
Outlook 2003. After the updates, Outlook wouldn't connect to my POP3 servers. I immediately didn't think it was related to the servers being down, b/c the error came up as soon as Outlook did... it looked as if it didn't even try to connect. I tested using OE and WebMail and both of these worked fine. I uninstalled the two updates and Outlook was working fine again. One change I did notice is that the email download is now much faster. Has anyone experienced something like this? I'm curious about what happened that Outlook wasn't able to connect, and also why is it faster now. Esteban |
