I don't get any error message - for some reason the CD RoM drive seems to
think the disk is empty, and asks if I want to write to it! (To check, I have installed the disk in a CD RoM drive in my laptop, and the laptop recognises it!) PS thanks for sticking with me on this one! -- Boysie "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: Shouldn't be - antipiracy keeps you from activating, not installing. Now the disk won't load on my machine - is this some sort of anti-piracy software package kicking in? -- Boysie "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: How did you "reload" outlook? If by any other means that installing it from the disk and created a new outlook profile, the method you used has messed it up. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. "boysie" wrote in message ... Recently had to replace motherboard, so due to not wanting to pay HP "fee" to re tattoo BIOS, reloaded OS (Windows XP). Saved previous content of hard drive on external hard drive. Reloaded Office 2003, now cannot get Outlook to recognise old .pst files from previous content of hard drive. When I attempt to open a .pst file, get error notice "Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. The command line is not valid. Verify the switch you are using" Grateful for any help. -- Boysie |
