Old computer has Outook 2000
New computer has Outlook 2003

How do I transfer my information from one to the other?

I think Outlook 2003 uses a different format for the data than 2000.

into 2003? office products are almost aways backwards compatible.

It is possible, but not the best method.
If you want to use the newer file format (and there be little reason for you
to), then just open your old PST file in Outlook and copy whatever data you
want from it into the new default PST file that Outlook 2003 created when
you first launched it.

I don't think 2003 uses *.pst - that is what makes this difficult to import.
We have a lot of information in the calendar / schedules that we need to
copy.
How would you just copy the information from one to the other?

Wrong. Outlook 2003 uses PST files just like every other version of Outlook
and all PST files can be opened in Outlook 2003. The format of these files
changed from ANSI to UNICODE in Outlook 2003, but all PST files are
compatible with Outlook 2003. If you don't know the difference between these
formats, then chances are you have no need to change. The only reason you
might need to is if you expect the size of your PST file to exceed 2
GB--very rare for a standalone user.
I've used the same PST file for 10 years. It is approaching 0.03 GB.
