Yesterday I was sending some JPEG photos via Outlook and I happened onto a
window where I could select the size of this picture. It allowed Small Medium and Large . I have not been able to locate this page again. Maybe someone can tell me how to get there - please. I run Windows XP |

Could it be "Office Picture Manager"?

no , what I encountered was within the Outlook package. The only other item
open would be MS Word. |

No it wasn't. This is a standard option in the Operating system's Picture
viewer, not Outlook. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "ted scherbel" wrote in message ... no , what I encountered was within the Outlook package. The only other item open would be MS Word. |

Thanks Russ,
I opened my photo with MS Picture and Fax Viewer, but could not find a place to set up the transmitted image's size. Perhaps you can add a little more detail... thanks, ted "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote in message ... No it wasn't. if you repeat the steps you used to send the first pictures, do you see the
option to resize? to the best of my recollection, outlook 2002 doesn't offer it, but windows xp does. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. Don't open the photo/picture. Use Windows Explorer to browse My Pictures
folder or whatever folder you use to keep your photos. Right click a photo - Sent To - Mail Recipients. "ted scherbel" wrote in message ... Thanks John, I tried this procedure a couple times, but the SEND failed for
some unknown reason. I will revisit this approach later today. Regards, ted |

Russ: I made the statement of running XP in my original message.
Your last response was : "This is a standard option in the Operating system's Picture viewer." I assume you mean the Windows Picture and Fax viewer. However, I cannot locate the method used to set a JPEG compression level in this application. Regards, ted |
