Default Outlook 2003 and Imap sent items

I am setting up outlook to use IMAP.

When I send an email I have a rule to copy the email to my Imap sent folder.

Is there a way to mark the email as read? It is showing up as unread in the
sent folder

TIA

No, there is no way to mark it as read. Outlook 2007 handles that better by
allowing you to specify the Sent Items folder for the IMAP account.

That's annoying. But thanks for the info anyway.
