If my company does not have encrypted email, how can I securely send a file
to someone else? This is a .pdf file created by an application, similar to the way tax software creates these files without owning Adobe Acrobat. Mich |

you really can't... a password protected zip would give you some security. A
secure webserver would also work. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. It looks as though WinZip is my best option at this time. I had forgotten
this was an option, and it allows 256-bit AES encryption. I will also look into getting Digital IDs from thawte.com next time as suggested on other news groups. Mich Use certified mail or registered mail or, better yet, take it to them in person. Otherwise, it can't really be totally secured. Alias |

That should be secure enough, but it requires some work to make it happen. Despite the additional setup I vote for this option. -- Take |

I am not sure the recipient's company would allow them to download
freeware - I'm tsicking with encrypted zip. But thanks for the suggestion. Mich "Brian Tillman [MVP - Outlook]" wrote in message ... "M Skabialka" wrote in message ... Even though it is encrypted? I'm confused - how is that insecure?
