Default Outlook 2003 Spell Check inaccessible?

Hi,

A client of mine has Office 2000 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
installed, as well as Outlook 2003. Interestingly enough, she cannot
use spell check... It is grayed out from the "Tools" menu. Any
suggestions? Could this be due to the fact that Word 2003 is not
installed?

Thanks,
-Abe

Outlook requires the same version of word, in order to use word as the email

It could be due to mixed versions, especially if you upgraded office. Try
rerunning outlook's setup (or office 2000) and choose the custom option -
make sure spelling/proofing options are installed.
