Every time I try to send a text message per Outlook, I can type and send the
message, only as long as I physically type a person's name in the To box. If I click on the little address book button beside the To box or click on the icon at the top of the message page, I immediately get kicked out of Outlook, and it must restart. Does anyone know what is wrong and how it might be fixed? Thanks, Candy |

What version of Outlook? What type of email account?
It sounds like the address book is corrupt. If you use outlook 2003 or older, try this: go to Tools | Email Accounts, choose View or change existing directories or address book. Remove Outlook Address Book and close then restart Outlook and repeat these steps to add it. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Let's Really Fix Outlook 2010 http://forums.slipstick.com/forumdisplay.php?f=34 "Candy" wrote in message ... I'm sorry. I was too anxious to get my message out.
My Outlook is 2007. It is not an email account, per se. My address book seems to work for all of my three email accounts. It is for the function that can send text messages through Outlook. I believe they call the provider "SMSOfficer". I don't want to mess with an address book that seems to be working well otherwise. Does this help any? Thanks, Candy ------------------------------------------------------------------------ "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: What version of Outlook? What type of email account? Yeah, if its working, you don't want to mess with it - especially in outlook
2007, since it doesn't work correctly if remove and readd the address book service. That uses the SMS /Text service that comes with outlook, correct? Did you install anything from SMSOfficer? -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Let's Really Fix Outlook 2010 http://forums.slipstick.com/forumdisplay.php?f=34 "Candy" wrote in message ...
