Default How to delete messages from inbox with MS Outlook 2007

My old mind has forgotten how to remove emails from the inbox and the deleted folder. It is not the same as MS Outlook 2003.

Any assistance will be much appreciated........roadrunnerray

Default How to delete messages from inbox with MS Outlook 2007

What type of Email account? The method is the same in both versions although
there are some slight differences if you use IMAP.

Hi Diane, this was set up as a IMAP account, I had never used this type of account on any of my email programs before...........

Default How to delete messages from inbox with MS Outlook 2007

Ok - in imap, the deleted items are marked for deletion and you need to
purge to actually delete them. In Outlook 2007, look on the Edit menu for
your purge options.

Just finished deleting a ton of old emails. Your suggestion worked like a charm, many thanks for taking time to assist me..............roadrunnerray
