I downloaded the updates so that my outlook 97 would run with windows XP.
However, although it should work, it's still not perfect. Sometimes there are problems with the SMTP or POP settings and also it doesn't check for emails every 15 minutes (not vital, but useful). When I upgraded it was suggested that perhaps with "modern" email account even an upgraded outlook 97 wouldn't cope. Should I just dip into my pocket and just buy office 2000 or later and avoid these problems? Or should I carry on and try and sort out the problems? Peter |
