OS: Vista
I have been using Windows Mail and Windows Contact as my email and contact programs. I have just installed Office 2007 and want to replace Mail and Contact by Outlook. However, when I tried to import my contacts into Outlook, I find that some fields are missing: Birthday Anniversary Spouse/Partner Children I see that there are fields for Birthday and Spouse/Partner in Outlook but the data has not been imported. As for Anniversay and Children, I can't find these fields in Outlook. What can I do to make sure that all these fields are properly imported? Thanks! |

As far as I can tell, those fields aren't included in the import map and you can't export them from Windows Mail, either. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

Thanks Brian. I guess I am stuck with Windows Mail and Windows Contact then.
I am most reluctant to re-enter all that data into Outlook again. I am disappointed that such a problem would arise between two Microsoft programs. In the same vein as the problem Shatin is having, if you simply export
Windows Contacts to a CSV file, the fields birthday, anniversary, spouse/partner, children, etc. are not exported. Now, why the hell would we be allowed to enter this "other" data for the contact, yet not be allowed to export it! I want to export all of my contact data so I can read it into an Access data base. Please, anyone, if I'm missing something here when I to export my contacts, let me know. Thanks. "Gordon" wrote: "Shatin" wrote in message ... Thanks Brian.
