Default LInk issues in Outlook

Recently changed browsers becasue of work issues and now links in Outlook emails generate a box that effectively says Windows can't open this what program would you like to use to view this file. What setting do I need to change in either the browser or Outlook that will automatically open the links in emails? HELP!!! .
