Assuming you are using a POP3 account;
Create a new pst-file (File- New- Personal Data File...) and place it on a location on the computer you both can access. Here create any folder that you wish to share. Then log off and log on with the other user account. Open Outlook and connect to the shared pst-file via File- Open- Personal Data File... -- Robert Sparnaaij [MVP-Outlook] Coauthor, Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.howto-outlook.com/ Outlook FAQ, HowTo, Downloads, Add-Ins and more http://www.msoutlook.info/ Real World Questions, Real World Answers ----- "Bubey" wrote in message ... Thanks for the response Robert.
I am confused but I get the impression this file you want me to create will be a "folder" located on both user accounts to put info into? I just use Outlook 2000 for the Calendar function. Will this give me ability to see added appointments on the Calendar under each user's name regardless of who added something ? "Roady [MVP]" t wrote in message ... The pst-file that you create would be an Outlook database which contains
your Outlook folders and data just like you have now but with the difference that you'll both have access to it. Since you are now both looking at the same Outlook database, you can indeed both see and modify all shared data. -- Robert Sparnaaij [MVP-Outlook] Coauthor, Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.howto-outlook.com/ Outlook FAQ, HowTo, Downloads, Add-Ins and more http://www.msoutlook.info/ Real World Questions, Real World Answers ----- "Bubey" wrote in message ... OK, I've created a pst folder and copied OUTLOOK 2000 into it. Then went to
share this folder and checked the appropriate boxes, apply and close. I then logged out of my (personal)user account and then signed into the other user (my business) account. I clicked on the Outlook shortcut but my calendar didn't show up ??? Are the instructions you gave me for Outlook 2000 ? Is there a link you can send me that would give me step by step instructions. I think I missed something since what I did didn't work. Thank You "Roady [MVP]" t wrote in message ... You have to TELL Outlook to use an additional pst file. Open Outlook and to File-Open-Outlook Data File and navigate to where you put the shared pst file... |
