Default new profile generation, best way?

I'm moving 50 clients from an older exchange server to a 2k3 box. What's the
best way to delete the users current profiles, and create a new one? All
clients are XP and Office 2003.

Thanks in advance

I assume this move is not a mailbox move between servers in the same
exchange site? If it is, the clients will update their own profiles when
they first logon.

If the move is not between exchange servers in the same site, then there are
several options
- a quick doc showing users what to do
- going around to only 50 desks and updating the profile
- using profile tools such as the "Outlook Profile Update" tool (a command
line tool added in Exchange 2003 sp1)

Profile information is stored in the registry of the local computer, so
often a client run utility is your best bet. For others, you could query
www.slipstick.com for profile management.

Another option would be to use the Custom Maintenance Wizard from the ORK to generate the information needed for Outlook to update the profile and run the resulting .cmw file as part of a login script. You might want to read the excellent white paper "Configuring Outlook Profiles by Using a PRF File" at http://office.microsoft.com/search/r...60 I&respos=3
