I have created a new form by modifying an existing one in our library, and
every time I fill it out and send it, it shows up as the old form. How can I save the form with the new layout and get it to show up that way every time? I should add that I do not have programming experience so a bypass of coding is ideal. Thank you!!! |

is it published to the organization forms library? did you increment the
version number so the forms cache on all computers refreshes it? They may need to clear the forms cache - see http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/formscache.htm if you need help doing that. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com/ Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Poll: What version of Outlook do you use? http://forums.slipstick.com/showthread.php?t=27072 "Ashley" wrote in message ... The original form was published in the Organization forms library. Then i
modified that one and saved my new one in Personal forms library. What do you mean by "increment"? I followed your suggestion about the cache. This was very easy to do. Now, when I try and fill out the form, it says "last name is a required field" and I do not have a field called last name. A glance at the code for this form shows all the old code, including a clause that if some field called "last name" is not filled out, that a popup should prevent me from sending the form. Please help!!! Thank you for your helpful advice so far "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: is it published to the organization forms library? did you increment the version number so the forms cache on all computers refreshes it? You edited the form in the personal library, the recipients use the one in
the org library because they don't have access to the new form. You need to publish your form in the org library. The last tab in form design has a version field - that should be incremented up each time you publish so outlook knows to use the last one. you'll need to remove the last name code or comment it out. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com/ Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Poll: What version of Outlook do you use? http://forums.slipstick.com/showthread.php?t=27072 "Ashley" wrote in message ...
